National Mobilization: Bean And Cod Edition

    The Dogz' Kennel: $109.00
Gas, Tolls and Parking to/from Boston: $99.00
Engaging in Patriotic Dissent with several friends and tens of thousands of hippies: PRICELESS.

    Pics below the fold.

The Rally began on The Common.

Yeah, I was a bit far away from Medea Benjamin of Code Pink.

Not Peace Bitch, but a darling Peace Pup all the same.

Hmm...there appears to be some cost associated with The War.

I find it tough to shoot on overcast days.  YMMV.

Damn, I didn't see Hermione anywhere.

    Frickin' Greens.

    Patriots' graves.

There were no counter-protesters that I saw, but a good number of supporters on the sidewalks.

    Punkz Against War?

Where I almost lost my Indians cap.

Sure, rub the BoSox' ALCS victory in my face.

    Another reflection on peace.

    Hey, I'm walking heah!

Would that Nader had considered this.

Journos never seem to want to interview me.

    D00d.   Duh.

    A barbaric yawp: NO WAR.

Body language says it all, eh?

Yes, I was scoping out the chicks.  What of it?

    Mmm...I love sweater weather.

Oh, and that's a nice camera.

    Attack the UN!

    Caught!

Very colorful hippies, if quiet, in Boston.

    Baby!

Crazy enough, it just might work.

    Isn't it romantic?

    Sing it, Grannies!

    Impeace NOW!

This guy was on stilts, believe it or not.

    Peace Bunny!

    Patriotism, schmatriosm.

    Heartbreaking hippie.

Yeah, I'm taking pitchers of youse.

I like shooting photogs...'specially the cute ones.  It's a moral flaw on my part.

    What I'm saying.

Nice! I'm glad the Boston DFHs bring their kids out--I was beginning to think we were weird.

so... were you a photojournalist in a previous life? Great pictures!

Very colourful march-- even in the black and white pictures.

JUST FREAKIN AWESOME PICS...you should get some kind of award....for real
    your camera speaks volumes

You wearing a beard these days, NTodd? Wear a beard and you'll get media attention. I was interviewed twice by television reporters at peace marches back in 2003, and I'm sure it was the beard. Oh, wait, maybe it's just that I looked so Vietnam-War-era...

Splendid pics and good works, NTodd; thanks.

Great shots! Were you with the Vermont crowd? My daughter and I marched with them Saturday. I'm usually in Chicago, but I stretched my visit so that I could get my daughter to march with me. It was a super group from the time we got to the T station going into Boston to the ride going back. Even the BPD were friendly. It's such a difference from Chicago where I hear they arrested 3 young men after police (it is said) harrassed the demonstrators and charged their bikes into the marchers.
